Carlsbad - Question

I am new to TUG. We have two weeks at Tamarack Beach Resort in Carlsbad during September. We have friends going to Tahoe for the week of July 21st and would like to join them. What are odds of finding someone to exchange with in Tahoe, NV for a specific week? Are we just "reaching" here?

I see you are a guest with a new post. I think TUG can resolve your issue. Just about anyone would exchange a Lake Tahoe for a Carlsbad. TUG has an exchange board where you could set this up (not sure if you need to be a member or not, though). Welcome to TUG and I'm sure you will find your answer shortly!!

Thanks for the response! Yes, I am sure that any oceanfront property during warmer months will be desirable for an exchange. My only worry is finding something for a specific week in Lake Tahoe. It seems to me to be a taller order. We just may have to stay in a casino/hotel. I really appreciate your input though!

Have you tried the small exchange companies? Some will let you search first and then deposit when they find something. Platinum Interchange is one that will let you do that. You would request the week and if they find it, deposit your Tamarack - which they would love to have.

Out of curiosity, I checked availability for LTVR, primarily because there frequently is some availability but the week of July 15-Jul 21 was strangely not available - although I did see a few studio apartments starting on the 22nd. I didn't check any of the others however, I still feel strongly you can make this exchange - if you are able to deposit your Carlsbad week. Good luck!
