What sort of prices are you seeing and where? We thought our friend was going to get the car for our shared week, but she was freaking out about how much money they lost on the stock market, so we're doing it. I'm just waiting until the end of the month, when my AmEx cycle starts over. lol!

My sister and brother in law got a terrific deal from Aloha = a small. local car rental place. The cars are not brand new, theirs was a 2 year old Sebring convertible that they paid less than $200 for the week. We rented from Avis and paid twice as much for a compact sedan.

Their service was great and they provided bottled water and a cooler as part of the rental deal.

We just came back from Maui and rented from Alamo. $206 total for 2 weeks full size. We are Alamo insiders and used the code 7014667 (good thru 12/7) and the Coupon AD2724FZA for $35 off (good thru 12/15).
Alamo Insiders is free to join. While you get a free additional driver, the extra driver must be added manually at the rental location.
And of course, book, book and rebook whenever the price goes down. We started at $265. Best of luck -- Suzanne
