Does anyone have good info on Capital Vacations Club Destinations resale? They have the resorts and locations I really like. I used to own a couple of VRI's and loved them.

You can buy the points packages on Ebay for $1. In my opinion it's a dollar wasted but to each his own.

That bad? What's the issue with them?

Hi @Mongoose
Here is some general information - that I recall from prior TUG posts.

It has been suggested that there is a pattern of acquiring legacy independent resorts and then [high pressure] up-selling existing owners to move to their
points system because of the flexibility and access to more properties. It is suggested that this likely results in increased MF if booking your same week.

If you like a particular resort and want to go there every year it might make more sense to buy resale an existing deeded ownership specific to that property.
I am sure there are plenty of legacy owners who have not taken the bait and have not moved to Capital Vacation Points.
