Has anyone bought or sold points from any venue but the Company itself. I’m thinking of selling our points. Any suggestions on where to begin. I’m aware that it will be more of a token or a gift but we only have 56,000 points a year left. After a long convoluted process, I did get them to refund the money for 100,000 points about 6 months after we bought them. Documented every lie, exaggeration, misrepresentation, failed attempts to schedule, and about 50 calls made to anyone who would listen. Any ideas.

I have seen a few people list their capital points on Tug in the bargain section for free. You might want to do a search here on tug to find those listing and contact the sellers to see if they had success.

I would start by listing them in the bargain section here on Tug for free. I would offer that you would pay closing costs too. You might consider offering additional incentives such as a years maintenance fee. Your points are very low so my guess is you will need to find another Capital points owner to get a taker. You can also list it in the tug marketplace and Redweek at the same time.

I second the suggest of offering them in the bargain section. You will want to list how much you pay in MF's plus the annual membership cost. I also moderate a facebook group for Capital Resorts:Capital Resorts Condo Owners. You can list sales or giveaways there. I think there have been 2 or 3 owners that have picked up additional points that way. Just giveaways as they seem to have no resale value. IMO you need at lest 150,000-200,000 points to bring the fees down to something reasonable per point. At this time they are allowing owners to combine retail and resale into a single account so a single base fee and a single annual fee would apply. I believe the offering statement allows them to separate resale purchases but I haven't heard of them doing that.
