OK--I own at Aruba Surf Club. Booked Easter 2009 and exchanged for Feb. week of 2009. (Winter break for the kids). Now I can't use the week because of health issues. I know I can "give" the week with a guest cert, but can I still bank the week? If so, how do I do that, does it cost anything, and how long will I have to use the week? Thanks Tuggers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if I'm not mistaken you can just cancel your exchange and lose the exchange fee. then you would have 2 yrs from your april check-in to reexchange but I could be wrong .

You can cancel the exchange and you will get a replacement week that will have less trading power.

You can also do a retrade by selecting anything available on line for any date that your week can pull. You pay the exchange fee and you're done.

Either way, you've lost your original exchange fee.

When you cancel an exchange you will receive a Cancellation Replacement week which will be good for one year from the date of the cancellation. It will require the standard exchange fee to use it.

I concur. One year from the cancellation date. From II's T&C:
When a Member notifies II of his or her desire to cancel aConfirmation seven days or more prior to the first date of occupancy of the Host Accommodations being canceled, the Member will be entitled to request substitute exchange accommodations, as long as the Member requests travel occurring no later than 12 months following the date on which the Member cancels said Host Accommodations.
