Our flight was to leave today but DH came down with a case of shingles yesterday and even though it's mild, we can't go:bawl:
This was an expensive way to learn to buy insurance every time we travel. We are looking into buying yearly coverage. Does anyone know if the value of points would be covered?
I will not be using Auto Europe again either. They charged me a $75 cancellation fee. The only car rental company that I ever heard of that does that.

Oh, that is just awful! I know nothing aobut trip insurance but I feel foryou both. Here is wiching for speedy recovery and no lingering pain.

I have purchased trip insurance 2x in my life, both were European where there were others in my party who themselves could cause a cancellation or delay, and the costs would be very high. If it was just my wife and I, and the costs would be managable, I wouldn't bother.

Look at the top of the Travel Forum - there is a link to travel insurance and at the bottom of the post there is a link to Timeshare Travel Insurance. I have this and it covers all 7 of my weeks for about $100 a year.

Denise - Did you mean the Vacation Guard? That is what I see at the bottom of the insurance link.

Is it possible to post the link here? I can't find it. Thanks!:)
