Can't book >1 year out?

I paid my current maintenance fee (for my 2022 week) and went to the website to book some other properties. I was able to waitlist for a date in December, but was unable to book a week in January that shows available on the website. Instead I get a "you have no points" error message. Of course this is wrong because I already paid the fees for next year's points (my week is 13 months away).

Is this a known website glitch? Do I have to wait 20 minutes on the phone and pay Hyatt to make the reservation offline?

Paying your MF's does not give you points usable to reserve at another resort. You would need to elect the week for points first (CUP). The website should step you through that process as you are making your reservation.

Paying the MF ahead of the due date would enable you to continue to make reservations using the points available in your account. Since you have no points available, you cannot book a reservation. Once you receive the new points you will be good to go.
