What we bought, and what we got...
Has anybody ever noticed the difference between what we bought, and what we got, at the Royal Resorts? It seems to be nothing but pleasant surprises.
I bought at Vacation Clubs in 1977. There wasn't any television in Can Cun then. Later, TV was scarce, we could rent a T.V. The kitchen had a stove but not a microwave...
Now, we have a stove and also a microwave oven in the kitchen, we have a dishwasher, a television in every bedroom and in the living room, Murphy beds in the living room, a new and nicer lobby...
Plus, now I also have 4 other resorts that I can go to on the other side of the island to the beach there, or to the nice restaurants and swimming pools, and the Spa.
And I bought at Royal Mayan in 1985... besides new appliances, we also have more elevators, a Gazebo, nicer gardens, ramps and changes made for persons on wheel chair, an elevator to the lobby, a nicer lobby... etc.
Besides being able to go to all other 4 clubs, we will soon have another club in Playa del Carmen to which we can go to for a day trip, or to their swimming pools and restaurants.
My membership in a simple timeshare has turned into a super-membership.
Isn't it great? Read the posts about the Royal Sunset, or the Grand Mayan, or even about Disney Vacation Clubs and other "5 Star resorts," and see the difference with how they treat their members and exchange visitors... You come to realize we are in a class of our own. There is nothing like this, anywhere.
Do you know anybody who regrets having bought at any of the Royal Resorts? I have bought 5 weeks more, based on my own good experience, after I bought my original 2 weeks in 1977.
