Here's something I could not find on the Wyndham site. My wife and I signed up to go to Wyndham Vacation Resorts at Glacier Canyon the week of September 9th. While looking at the site, we decided to change to Wyndham Ocean Ridge (same week). So, WVRGC was cancelled, and points returned to my account. But, when I tried to reserve Wyndham Ocean Ridge, the system said I needed $30 because I do not have any Reservation Transactions.

If the RT for the first one (WVRGC) is gone, I can handle $30, I just need to know if that's a fact (like a cancellation fee), or is there a time frame where I will get it back?

Thanks
TS

Please read your Member's Directory on RESERVATION TRANSACTIONS. If you own under 500K of brought directly from Wyndham or own only resale points, you get a LIMITED number of Reservation Transactions (RTs) per year. 1 RT for every 77K in points own. RTs refresh on Jan 1st each year; RTs are good for 1 calendar day (like today, but not tomorrow) -- so planning your bookings and RCI deposits helps to keep the $30 fee from empty'ing your wallet.

As discussed in another post, you get one reservation transaction each year for every 77000 points ..additional transactions cost $30

You used your one for the Glacier Canyon reservation....To make another reservation this year, you need another reservation transaction

You should also be careful with housekeeping credits

True, but HKs are returned when you cancel a reservations. HKs become a problem when booking mostly weekends/short stays OR discount reservations (ie resort specials) at the older resorts (low points usage) in the low seasons.

And HKs are FREE if you have 300K VIP ownership; RTs are free at the 500K Gold VIP ownership. FOR THE TIME BEING.

I went ahead and "sucked it up". Leave it to being a timeshare newbie! And yes, I had enough HKs, so all I had to do was pay the RT fee. Live and learn!
