cancelled points-do they carry over to next year

cancelled points, do they remain cancelled points and expire at end of year, or do they now carry over as regular points into the next year?

They return to what they were when the reservation was made. If they were 2016 points, they expire 2016, etc. If they were credit pool points, they are returned to the credit pool with their original expiry.
 
Cancelled points

You're sure they come back to the credit pool if they are booked then cancelled? I haven't noticed that happening. I wish I had seen this before the end of year when i applied my unused points to maintenance. Yes I know I screwed up by not putting them in the credit pool but I trusted my rental company when they said they didn't see an issue renting them all out by year end. I won't make that mistake again.

If you are using a rental company credit pool everything. Give them as much time as to can to get the job done
