I made a reservation for HHV in Dec and may need to cancel. Last month I had 1K left of 2011 points and wasn't planning any more travel this year so I rescued those into 2012.

When I saw availabilty in HHV this week for Dec I booked borrowing the 1K that I rescued plus borrowed 2K of 2012 points.

I think if I cancel the 2K go back to 2012, but where does the 1K of rescued points go? Does it go back to the rescued year of 2012 or stay in 2011?

They should go back to the year to which they were rescued.
After all, you spent $$ so that you could use them as such.
But computer programs don't always do what they're supposed to.

So, check your balances after you cancel and call if there's an issue.

Just completed the cancellation and the rescued points went back to the rescue year of 2012. Thanks.
