I have a November 2021 reservation made thru RCI and I may have to cancel. I know I will lose my $239.00 booking fee, but the TPU's will I lose them even though it is over a year away? I know I can buy the trading power protector for a fee(104). But I would like to avoid paying another fee.

Also with the trading power protector, how long can I wait before that option becomes void?

You can find out right on the RCI site what sort of hit-- if any -- you will take on your TPUs. If you go to your reservation and start the cancellation process you should get a screen that shows how many TPUs you would retain if you make the cancellation. Just back out of the process if you're not ready to complete it. If you want to hang onto the confirmation for a while, you can buy the trading power protector right up to the day before the reservation starts.

Did what you said and it worked perfectly. I must add that I was a little nervous about pressing that initial cancel reservation button, but you put me at ease with it being a two step cancel procedure. Thank you!
