I canceled my deeded week at NCV for 2025 a week ago tomorrow and I still cannot see my "use my week" button on the website. I want to book my week Friday morning but can't see inventory without that button.
Called Marriott every day this week and they insist that I am just an idiot and that the week has been canceled and released. I was told that it was released back onto my owner account the moment I got the cancelation email.... but still nothing. They are closed tomorrow so nothing is going to get done.... and I just SOL for booking online for 2025?

Did you get the cancellation email? What does the transaction history show?
I did get a cancellation email right away. When I call in they can see that I canceled too but on the website it does not show in my transaction history that it was. They basically are telling me that I am "looking in the wrong place" and that I must not understand how to book online BUT I literally booked online last Thursday ( and then called in to cancel right after)... Very frustrating.

Must be a buggy website again. I guess you need to call right at 6am Pacific time to book on Friday. Did you ask whether they could book?

@Dean may have more experience with how long the lag is between a cancelled reservation and it being available to reserve again on the owner website. I have heard that the lag can be up to a week. This probably doesn't help, but they can still make the reservation over the phone.

The guy I just spoke with saif that he "thinks" they should be able to book me over the phone on Friday but I would much rather book online. I have NEVER been able to get a week I want on the phone. I would also hate to call in and have them tell me that I still can't.

Now my memory comes back... yes, after the week is cancelled, it can take days for the week to show up to allow booking by owners again. Owner service can book using their system.

I believe that they are closed tomorrow for the holiday. Do you think that if it were a week delay ( I booked and canceled last Thursday) that it may still show up in my account tomorrow so that I can book online Friday morning when the inventory is released? ( Wishful thinking, I know...but a vacation girl can dream).

It is entirely possible that it will show up tonight or tomorrow.

It will be a week tomorrow... I kind of expected a few days ( other than the advisor said it should be "instant") but I definitely thought it would take less than a week.

Haven't canceled a week booking in a while [possibly never].
Thought it would behave the same as a points cancellation.

Have cancelled multiple points reservations and the points show up immediately.
When I navigate to the next screen, the points are there.

What OP described was how my deeded weeks cancellation worked. I haven't cancelled in a couple of years but it's all coming back to me. Point reservations are different, they get returned to the account right away.

None of mine have taken a full week. Usually about 3 to 4 days. I would try again over the next day or two, but it’s possible the holiday held it up.

Thanks. I'll call again Friday if I haven't seen them. That'll be over a week. Hopefully someone can tell me something by then.

Yep I've had that it showed up for Customer service but not for me, it was a bit weird, like it got stuck in limbo. I had to call several times to get it unstuck. I emailed customer advocacy in the end and that got it sorted.

Ugh, I wished I read thought to check the status of my own week yesterday. Like CourtShorr, I canceled a Newport Coast booking in Monday, and have a cancelation email. However, the abound site still reflects the original booking, leaving me unable to choose preferred dates at 9am tomorrow.

Call and have them book it for you. Even if you don’t see it online they should be able to do it.

Thank you. The problem is that competition for dates, whether online or by phone, is fierce, and best results achieved only if I’m ready to book (vs first verifying my identity and ownership, let alone resolving questions of booking eligibility of the week) right at 9am.

@CourtShorr, how did you fare this morning?

After a long hold to get through to MVC, I had no success with the slow talker who answered my call. To his defense, I knew I wasn’t likely to find any inventory left by the time he picked up, but it was still frustrating to hear that the “best” he could do was to fill out a request for tech help.

As others have described, my week was and is bookable in MVC’s system, but not through the owners’ website. Now that a request has been logged, I’m to wait to regain the ability to book on my own — “hopefully” in time for next Friday’s 12mo release date, but maybe not.

We week showed up online 45 minutes AFTER inventory opened, so we missed it all. We'll try again this week

Correction: this week’s release is on Thursday — last Friday bring the exception date, due to the Fourth of July holiday closure.

Sadly, my week has still not been released for booking in the owners’ website. Another tech request was filed today, for resolution “within 24-48hrs”.
