Cancel timeshare

Hello, I paid in full for $8k and signed a application/contract of 5 weeks 5 year package with VIDA vacations/Limitless Vacation at the Vidanta Riviera Maya. Saw many reviews online and regret my purchase. I saw i can rescind this within 5 days but don't know which of the companys to email. I'm planning in going in person to the hotel but don't know if they work tomorrow which is Saturday and who to ask when i get there. I have a paid tour trip to chichen tomorrow but I will cancel it if I'm able go to the hotel tomorrow and cancel and get my money back. If anyone has any information on this will appreciate it.

Make an appointment with Member Services, which is located in the lowest level of the building where they do most of the sales presentations. They do work Saturdays. Bring all your paperwork with you.

Can I make appointment same day or can i just show up? I plan on going tomorrow morning there

grats on saving 8k!
It was 7950$ actually lol but my wife thought we could make our money back selling the time shares, i had my doubts but was pressured with the wifey thinking we were getting great deals with the cruises, discounts, and 1 week at the hotel for 250$... I had to many tequilas lol

Thats what I been thinking this whole time. Im going to go there and just say no to all their offers... even if they throw in endless tequila at the buffet...

I do plan on checking out other timeshares or other deals you guys have on this forum. I see you guys have a big community with alot of active members must be you guys are getting the real deals.

Do you guys know what email I have to send to and to which company? Theres a couple companys listed like the marketing entity, fulfillment provider, limitless vacations vida vacations. I would like to send it by email and copy profeco

It would be best to go to Member Services. What you bought was one of the exit plans. Do your best to get out of it.

where can I make an appointment? I don’t want to call and then get forwarded to the sales rep. Unfortunately I’m in the same boat as OP as I signed yesterday around 5pm. Sure enough now I’m trying to rescind. Currently talked to my credit card company to dispute or withhold the funds. Thank you for any help!

I’ll tell you what I did to cancel and get full refund. (Still pending the refund)

i showed up at the resort at 9am to the front gate and told them I was here to discuss about my contract. (Try not to mention you want to cancel the member to the guy at the gate.) The gate person called someone from member service and then he passed me the phone and they guy from member service asked what I wanted to discuss. I told him I wanted to cancel my contract. He asked if I had a appointment, I told him no he said give him a minute to find a specialist in canceling contracts. 2 mins later he said he was going to tell the gate guy to give me “access” to go to the same place I signed the contract.

Going to keep this part short and important details.
I get to the same sales office there. They tried telling me sell me a better package I said NO to ALL of the offers. I just wantedto cancel contract and get a FULL refund. They will keep trying to tell you you can’t and keeptelling them you want it and it is possible since you are within your 5 day time frame. They will say tjere Will be fines and lawyers fees, tell them you don’t care and will pay it you want a full refund and cancel contract. So after all that, they saidhad me email a person there to send them a email for cancellation request with my contract number and total amount to have something in writing from them. As they said since it’s the weekend they can process it until Monday. I got aresponse of them confirmation receipt of cancellation request and they will send me documents to sign with in 72hours to sign and return for them to process my refund within 5 business days.
I’m still iffy about this last part so I’m going to try to send something to the resort and cc por deco or just keep the email they sent me confirming the cancellation as Proof as I don’t want it to pass the 5 days.

We never recommend rescission in person for all the reasons you had trouble. Language- not the right guy- additional sales pressure- etc, but it looks like you got it done. Hopefully the refund will come through without a hassle.
When you get home and want to learn about TS, c'mon back. We'll be here.

Great, hopefully we get our money back. I can’t believe I/we fell for this plan. Back in the US I wouldn’t have fell for something like this lol. I would’ve just told them no for everything and been suspicious since th beginning. They just make it sound like a dream here in Mexico and plus my wifey was hyped too about all the deals lol. But luckily Mexico has this 5 day law with all contracts for situations like this.

I sent you a DM to see what email you emailed from the hotel and from profeco. I want to send one as well with them CC.

Exit plans do work, but they have many limitations.

My across the street neighbor bought one of those after going to Puerto Penasco using one of my registered weeks. They went once a year for a couple of years, and just 2 days ago, he said that he called to make his last reservation and was told he could not as it had been sold - he thought it was the resort was sold. I told him that the resort was still there. They have Mayan Palace, Grand Mayan and were working on another building that could be Grand Luxxe, but that maybe the company that he got the exit package from had been sold and so he no longer had access.
