Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian TUGgers! Enjoy your long weekend and savour the glorious weather we are having.

I sure is nice to get a warm weekend to clean up outside before the cold and wet settle in!

We don't have to do clean up, in a condo now, but will definitely enjoy our warm weather, and the pumpkin pie I'll be cooking later.

What warm weather? It's foggy and cold here.

But it might improve.

Have a great long weekend all.

Beautiful in Edmonton

Sometimes our winters can be cold but they are quite often sunny and bright.:) Today is a beautiful, sunny, crisp fall morning that is absolutely beautiful. Family is together and I am in my office at 10 am getting ready to do a full day's work so I can get the rest of the weekend off. :D Truly much to be thankful for here.

It's a glorious, warm, sunny weekend here in the Toronto area.

Tomorrow, the dtrs and spouses are coming for turkey dinner, and we will have one last happy hour on the deck before we take the furniture in on Monday, for the winter :bawl: .

Top 3 things Canadians are thankfull for ......
1. Olympic Gold in Hockey
2. Poutine
3. choccy hobnobs

:D

The fog lifted and it was a glorious afternoon here too. A beautiful walk at the park with the dog this afternoon.

Poutine? I don't think so.

A & W poutine is one of my favourite things. I only have it a couple of times a year - it takes my arteries that long to recover, but yum.

Choccy hobnobs? I'll have to Google that one. Sounds like a Maritime thing.

What did the Canadian turkey eat on Thanksgiving ?

I actually had poutine yesterday. Down here in Ohio they don't have poutine at restaurants, so I have to make my own. I do buy the St Huberts poutine gravy/sauce on our trips to Canada. I am able to find cheese curds locally, unfortunatly they aren't fresh but they will do. I hand cut and fry my own French Fries. The stuff is glorious.

One of my wife's friends from work was over and she loves the stuff. Others at work just turn up their nose at the thought of it.

As far as restaurant poutine goes, I prefer New York Fries (usually found in Canadian mall food courts). Second to that is Harvey's.

Amazing Thanksgiving weather

Sunny and warm weekend. High yesterday 84! I've been to the beach more in Oct. (just to walk not swim) than I was all summer! Shorts, sandals, warm breeze, a typical east coast fall!
Happy Thanksgiving to all.:D

We are not only celebrating Thanksgiving but our 45th wedding anniversary at our timeshare in beautiful Calabogie. We took the chair lift to the top of Calabogie ski hill yesterday. The leaves and the view were awesome. We have alot to be thankful for! Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

The turkey ate nothing because it was allready stuffed. :D

We had a truly wonderful Thanksgiving as we celebrated our grand daughter's second birthday her brother decided it was such a nice day that he'd like to share it with us and was born at 3:17pm. :hi:

Two grand children and they both have the same birthday :D

It was sunny and beautiful here in Calgary. Now the fact that my dishwasher cratered Thanksgiving weekend sucked but dinner was yummo!

1. was never in doubt
2. no, not ever
3. never heard of it

:D

1. I really doubted it after the first Team Canada loss.

2. Tasty treat for you to eat.

3. Choccy hobnobs are a small choclate cookie in a tin that are great with coffee or tea.

Choccy HobNobs, that’s my vice,
I come home and they taste real nice.
I sit back with a cup of tea,
And chomp on my HobNob in ecstasy.

I thought Canadians were thankful for?

1) Mr Dressup
2) Red Green
3) Curling

I LOVED Mr. Dressup and so did my kids.

And embarassed to say that I only have started to watch some curling since the Olympics last year - grew up in the Prairies - never set foot in a curling club.
