We were up in the Canadian Rockis for a bit. We stayed at the Worldmark in Canmore. It's a bit smaller than many of the Worldmark resorts but not too bad. Our first night there had bears in the back area near the bbqs. We actually saw a bear while hiking near the Bow River on the old road. It ran off so fast I couldn't get a picture.

In September 2022 we spent a week at Worldmark Canmore. We had a wonderful time visiting many different sites. We enjoyed it so much we are going back for 2 weeks in August 2025.

We stayed next door at the Grand Canadian Resort for 3 weeks in July - amazing area in Canmore and Banff (and adjacent national parks) that has kept us coming back for 30+ years. Always find something new, too.

Managed to sneak a peek at a 1-bedroom in the Worldmark - cozy, but looked quite nice. Far better than the 1-bedroom units at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort, but there you do get the full kitchen.

Love that area! Have only stayed at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort (in one BR and two BR units) because it’s dog friendly so we didn't mind that it’s not as fancy. Last time we went into Canmore we walked the river trail with our bear alert system.

I thought August was the perfect temperature for us. The road to Jasper was closed so we did miss out on everything past the Atabasca Glacier. There are so many places to see that we really didn't miss not going to Jasper.
