My parents have 500,000 points with Capital Resorts they no longer want, I am trying to help them sell/get rid of them. Not sure where to start. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can list them on Tug Marketplace and if you are just giving them away you can put them in tugs bargain section.

Make sure to list the maintenance fees that are paid annually. If there is a home resort that is listed on the deed list that too. Are the 2018 point used, or does it start 2019?

There are other places you can list them for sale such as Redweek or Craigslist. You can also call Capital to see if they have a program to take them back.

What you SHOULD NOT do is give someone money up front that promises you that they will sell it for you or make your obligation disappear. (Redweek does have a small fee)

I have had great success finding new homes for my unneeded timeshares here on Tug, but I have given them away for free.

Hi agomez, Is the Capital Contract paid off? Unfortunately it is worth pennies on the dollar. Similar contracts sell for $0-$2000 and that includes the transfer fee and in some cases a years usage of the points.

We called Capital, and they told us they do not have a buy back program.

Contract is paid-off. There are two fees which are paid yearly, which total around $2500. This will be due next year.
