So I know the non-elite star option banking is 7/1. If I book a home reservation, can I still bank star options before 7/1. Thinking of reserving sept 2021 home reservation but if I’m not comfortable going or if 14 day quarantine without negative covid test has issues, I’d cancel home reservation before 7/1/21. Can I still bank star options? What are my choices if I cancel home reservation mire than 60 days before arrival?

As long as you cancel before 60 days and you are before your banking deadline, you can bank your Staroptions.

can you bank staroptions before 60 days if elite and the reservation options was made with a timeshare bought from a third party not from vistana, but the staroptions are still in your one vistana account, still a vistana property?

If you have a mandatory resale property in your account you can bank those options prior to 60 days just like anything else in your account. Your elite status extends to resale SO as well. I think that is what you are asking?

Can you bank them in interval? In other words, book a SVN reservation at 7 months, cancel a month later. Can you then deposit that week of star options into interval?

I’ve never tried depositing SO into II, but I think the answer is no. You have to deposit the week itself.

Now if you have HomeOptions with Flex, those can be deposited.

SVV is floating, so I have them as star options with no week reserved. Am I supposed to reserve a week before doing a vacation exchange in II?

No. If you exchange Vistana will choose the SVV week they want to deposit. You’ll end up with the “blended” value for the season you own.

Ok, I just did a vacation exchange with one of my 2021 SVV one bedrooms. I guess interval will send it to vistana and they will give them whatever they give them and take the week out of my account for 2021.

When you make a StarOption reservation, you lose home resort priority. If you cancel, your home resort booking option isn't automatically restored, so technically you couldn't deposit into II since you just haave StarOptions at that point. I have heard people being able to call Vistana and restoring their home resort booking option, but not always successful.

Thank you. That was what I was looking for. I’ve never used II for an exchange until yesterday. I always just used getaways and AC’s. I was also trying to make a SO reservation for memorial week next year at WSJ so this is why i was asking.
