Can I trade my week that I traded for?

Not sure if this is the right forum but I will ask. I have traded for a 2-bdr at the Matecumbe Resort in Islamorado for the week of June 16-23 which seemed like a great find. Now my son can't come down until the 19th which is a long drive for a few days. So I was going to see if someone knew of a site where I could offer a trade of this unit to someone who has the same week at a resort in Daytona area or Tampa/Clearwater area so he won't have so far to come. I know I am not supposed to offer my trade for rent but can I try to trade it to someone? I guess I just really need to know if this is a big no-no and if so, do I have other options? Thanks for advice.

If you are a member yo can post your week on the distress board. You cannot ask for any specfics like a direct excahnge or rent but you can provide a contact that folks can contact you privately to try and work something out.

Technically you are not allow to trade excahnged weeks HOWEVER you are allowed to gift it to a friend and purchase a guest certificate. If that friend wants to GIFT you back....that is between you and your friend. It is just wise not to post specfics you do not know who is reading these boards

You can re-exchange with II; I don't know about RCI. You would have to pay an additional exchange fee, but that might be worth it to get what works better for you. Just call and explain.

Thanks

I will give II a call and see about exchanging the week. Maybe that would be best solution. I hate to give up a week in Key West but I am trying to help my son take a break and to avoid more gas stations. I am not sure what/where is the "distress board". Thanks again

I have done that a few times with II, just for the $120 exchange fee or whatever the current amount is.

The distressed/sightings board is further down on TUG. You have to become a TUG member to see it. It shows units that members can't use or have spotted online.
