Can I "request first" with a CR in II?

Not sure if this matters since my CR (cancellation replacement) is for DRI points, so maybe I can only do a "deposit first" since there is no week to hold?

I've never placed an ongoing search before and read the FAQ. When I followed the prompts on II, I was never given a choice between deposit/request first and it just shows up as deposit first when I was about to enter my CC info.

Your replacement week is a substitute deposited week.

"Request-first" is only for your home week, which you could use if you don't get a satisfactory exchange. Using your replacement week for a stay instead of using it for an exchange isn't possible.
