Can I make exchange in II with home resort, if Vistana shows I only have banked staroptions left?

I made a 2020 Vistana reservation with my 2020 staroptions (since I didn't use my home resort reservation), and I also have 81,000+ remaining 2019 banked staroptions that expire in 2021.

Now, I want to make an Interval International exchange using my 2020 home resort week. Can I easily do this? Will Vistana deposit my home resort, and automatically update my current 2020 Vistana reservation to use my banked Staroptions instead?

Nothing is automatic. You will likely have to cancel current res and lose time stamp then re-res with banked options then proceed with deposit. With current Covid conditions YMMV

With Vistana, you can't deposit a reserved week or banked Staroptions. You have to cancel the reservation, and Vistana will deposit a credit in II for you. When do the banked Staroptions expire?

My banked staroptions expire in 2021- I have lots from a couple EOY contracts.
So vistana used my 2020 staroptions for my 2 reservations In 2020.

Once you cancel the 2020 reservations, they will revert to Staroptions, which cannot be used for deposits. You can only use the current year's usage for a deposit - or next years.
