Can DCP be used for airfare?

I know little about the use of DCP outside booking Vacation Club properties, can points be used for airfare as well or at least converted/transfered as mileage points to get airfare with the loyalty frequent flyer programs?

We did a sales presentation earlier this week and our salesman said one could use DC points for airfare. But he also said the exchange rate for airfare was lousy and one shouldn't.

His lips were moving, but I think he was telling the truth.

Yes you can. I believe you essentially receive about 0.30 to 0.35 per DC Point in airline value. It's a pretty sucky return.
