I am just starting to look for a timeshare for my husband and myself for the end of Sept or first part of Oct. We have stayed at Hacienda del Mar a few years ago which was nice but we are really into any kind of a water view. Are there any resorts that have a view from all the different units? I am leaning towards Club Casa Dorada Spa and Golf Resort (thru II) although I would rather be closer to town. I am also a member of RCI Weeks and Points so we have lots of options. I know this time period is hurrricane season. Is this true in Cabo also? We usually rent a car and love to snorkle. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Closer to town!

Yeh I know what ya mean. If you get a chance I would go for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Stayed there in Jan. the room was fab and the oceanview was the greatest. No swimming in the ocean at this resort as it is too rough. The 1 bedroom had a double balcony and was on the third floor. I exchanged with RCI very last minute and was worried about my view. But it was super. The other Pueblo Bontios are in town on Medano Beach they are also very nice. I have stayed there also, but the view wasn't near as nice.
The Finisterra Resort also had a great view. I think it depends on your size room at that resort.
The Cabo Villas Beach Resort is right on the main swimming beach very close to town. Have not stayed there, but will sometime this year.
The Sol-Mar also has great views.
I am sure you will get alot of answers to this post.

Tropical storms are more likely in Sept. in Cabo, but we've been there the end of August and experienced a day or two of bad weather then. I think the latter part of Sept. and first part of Oct. would probably stand a better chance of not being in a hurricane, but there are no guarantees.

You can snorkle right outside the marina toward the rocks at Lands End. There are a couple of beaches on the corridor where snorkling is good, too--Chileno and Santa Maria.

I'd recommend any of the Pueblo Bonitos, Playa Grande, and Villa del Palmar for being on or near Medano Beach, (safe for swimming) and being near town.

It is hurricane season in Cabo, but Cabo does not have the same frequency of hurricanes as does the Caribbean areas. That's because the eastern Pacific Ocean is colder than the western Atlantic.

Ocean Views

You will have good ocean views from several resorts near town and the Marina. We own and love the Playa Grande. All units except maybe some of the ground floors units have a great ocean view and views of all the pools and Calima open air restaurant/grill. The Sol Mar also overlooks the Pacific as does The Finnestra.

On Mendano Beach the Cabo Villas Beach Resort (II & TPI) and the Cabo villas Resort (RCI) will have a good view also. (These are 2 phases of the Cabo Villas the CVBResort is the new one. The others on along the beach near town and marina are Pueblo Bonito Rose and Pueblo Bonito Blanco and the Villa del Palmer is a little further down.

The only thing about the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is the distance from town except they do have a shuttle.
We prefer being close so we can walk anywhere we want.
