Call from Great Destinations

Hi- I received a phone call (which I did not answer) and a followup email from a company named Great Destinations out of California. They want me to make an appointment for a 20-30 minute phone call PowerPoint presentation regarding "HOA -Changes with Specials & Features" and specially mentioned my Sedona resort.
Somehow they know I am a owner of a timeshare in Sedona.
Great Destinations is not the owners of my Sedona timeshare - VRI is.
My friend who also owns a timeshare in the same resort received a call also.

The cynical side of me is thinking they want to convert from a weeks to a points program.
Does anyone know the purpose of the presentation?

Sure, they want to separate you from some of your money and you will get little to nothing in return. Your instincts are right, just avoid contact with them.

Hi- I found the reason that Great Destinations of California is trying to arrange phone PowerPoint presentations - they were hired by the Admin Board of Sedona Springs to sell foreclosed units. Great Destinations is probably contacting current owners to see if they would be interested in purchasing another unit.
