We enjoy spending time in Healdsburg. There are many fine Tasting Rooms within a couple blocks of the Town Square. As for the Stags Leap area there are two vineyards and tasting Rooms with Stag in their name. There is Stags' Leap (the original) and Stag's Leap. We prefer Stags' Leap. Having been to and tasted Opus One we think it is hughly over priced. For views of Napa Valley Gloria Ferrer is pretty spectacular. Tasting Sparkling Wine with Tapas on the Patio overlooking the Valley is a nice way to spend the afternoon.

@MULTIZ321 Thanks so much for posting this! We will be traveling to Napa soon with our purchase of RiverPointe at Napa - this kind of info helps us rookies plan for a meaningful trip instead of scratching our grapes wondering what to do when we arrive.

We also really enjoy Ledson Winery in Sonoma. The grounds are beautiful and they have excellent and unique red wines. It is worth paying a little extra to taste their better wines.

My best friend and her husband lived in Healdsburg for awhile. We loved to go up and visit them over the weekend. They led us to some wonderful, smaller wineries.
