GYMS, CHURCHES, SALONS, MORE MUST CLOSE IN LA COUNTY...
Additional closures in Los Angeles and other watchlist counties]:

• Fitness centers
• Worship services
• Offices for non-critical sectors
• Personal care services
• Hair salons and barbershops
• Indoor malls

The governor said that the state is moving back into a modified version of its stay-at-home order...Effective today, all counties are required to close indoor operations [at]:

• Restaurants
• Wineries and tasting rooms
• Movie theaters
• Family entertainment centers
• Zoos and museums
• Cardrooms
• Bars must close all operations

Earlier today the school board said kids would stick with online learning in LA when the new term starts (in August, I think).

My heart goes out to everyone in my home state. My dd who lives there, friends, and my TUG family who live there.

We got shut down a bit here in New Mexico, but not to that extent.

I think dh's decision to not travel anywhere through at least the end of this year is becoming more and more sound.

I'm preparing to cancel all my booked travel for 2021. I doubt we will have a handle on this by then. I'd like to be wrong.

Yeah. But seriously, it's not just them. I went out yesterday to pick something up at Home Depot (curbside, worked great, no contact) and I saw a full parking lot with people sort of wearing masks (at least three people had it over their mouth but not nose), five people within two feet of each other by the front door talking, and others congregating near each other. On my way home I stopped at a gas station and saw two men talking within two feet of each other with no mask, no gloves, no glasses...no worries at all. None of these people were millenials.

It's not just the millenials who refuse to "conform to the CDC guidelines"...and then there are the influencers (= elected officials) who also don't "conform"...

We don't have anything planned for 2021 yet. Dd and I did have a Rhine river cruise but we pushed that to 2022. And I did just book a week in Newport, RI for October 2021. I grabbed it when I saw it, but may end up cancelling.

Just do what my dh did. No travel this year. No travel until there is a vaccine.

I live in Carlsbad. My tenant is a nurse practitioner. North San Diego county is in good shape. The border cities are a mess. Plus the hospitals had to take a bunch of people from Imperial County.

Dd lives in Santa Clara County. They seem to have been a problem since this started. Nowhere close to the border.
