After reading this forum I still am in question about what type of transportation is best. From the sjd airport is a cab ride to san jose resorts $20 per person or $20 per cab ride with as many as we can cram in? Is there larger taxi's for more people, if so any idea on how much we can expect for cost? I'm trying to decide on renting a car (van) or renting a cab. Any advice would be helpful, especially anyone travelling with larger party. TIA

We always just walk outside the terminal and catch one of the shuttles. Costs us $18 per person to PB Sunset Beach. No reservation neccessary.

We just returned from Cabo and we had a unique situation as we were going to Playa Grande but returning from Cabo Villas Beach Resort. I wanted to book our shuttle ahead but most of the websites would only let you go to and return from the same resort.
I found the following website that was the least expensive ($30.50pp RT) and I was able to enter both of my resorts. I was very satisfied with the results. The shuttle was actually Transcabo.

www.cabosanlucastours.net

It was interesting that when our van came for our return it was actually a taxi but he had our names for the transcabo transfers. It worked out very well.

We always rent, and next time we're in Cabo, plan to get a big vehicle as we expect to have more people in our party. I realize that not everyone wants to drive in a foreign country, but that's half the fun for us.
