hello, i've found an HIVC resale listed that i'm trying to get information on the unit, has not been easy, the initial email came from a woman that stated i needed to give her my information in order to draw up a NOA but when i spoke with her she was unable to give me details on the unit in question, like why is it listed in one area when i look on the map and it's listed in a different area all together. so i decided to look at the NOA, sent by another person, it is very vague and lists the unit number but i'm still not sure if the unit is a 3L/3 as listed in the original listing through TUG bargain timeshare resale. I tried looking up the company and it's Liberty Consultations Inc Knoxville TN but when i called to ask my direct questions there was no answer- i'll call later but i'm hoping to get some answers here on whether anyone has direct knowledge about this company (less than one year as a business) or what i should be looking for or asking as far as this resale is concerned. i at least expected a photo of the document of the deed or a detailed listing of the unit on the NOA. i'm interested in buying in to HIVC because we've stayed there before and it was nice for our family, i just can't afford to pay thousands of dollars upfront.
thank you in advance!

FYI, I tried working with them and got nowhere either. I did get in touch with the "owner" because the person who was asking for my personal information was not listed as an employee on the website, Samantha Badrinarain , and he got back to me to say she was. I sent her all of my information and sent a follow up but never heard back.... This was in February of this year. I went and purchased another timeshare that was listed from a Tug member. Everything went through quite smoothly from that transaction and I now own it.

thank you for your response! it took me a while but i was recently reading another thread dealing with this company, i guess this owner has had different business names and varying results- mostly not great. his listings are still in TUG and the owner of this site is aware, so i'll proceed with caution.

Only 3 locations actually keep their points, the rest revert back to just the underlying week. So you have to know exactly what you are buying with HICV

thank you for your response! the original listing did state that it was for a specific week, which we're good with since it falls in with our kids school vacation, but i'm still not sure why only the unit number is listed in the NOA. i expected a description at least of the villas # of bedrooms- an i wrong? i did try to look up the unit # and couldn't find any description online, the weird thing is, it's listed in the ad as a 3L/3 but it's located in the same building block we stayed in last christmas and that was only a 2/2. i'm just not sure if i should proceed, it's $225 fee but i don't like to gamble my money.

Please read all the threads on TUG on Kirk Marketing. They have recently changed their name to Liberty Consultations.

It's interesting to see this thread. I responded to 2 different ads, Sheraton and Bluegreen. Both were great deals. I am a little skeptical now. Wondering if we should alert someone at Tug about this person.

While I am navigating the classified ads at TUG, I saw very brief ad without many detail (only with cheap price with maintenance fee). I tried to contact the owner, and the owner (Samantha) responded with detail. She was selling the 2200 point HGVC timeshare with $800-$900 maintenance. I think my point is she is just trying to sell (or dump) what she got from people with collecting fees from people who want to dump or take over.

@TUGBrian has spoken directly to John Kirk of Liberty Consultations on behalf of a few of us Tuggers so I know he is aware of him.

This helped me get out of my purchase that was taking more than 8 months with nothing happening. I got a refund in the end.

Has anyone else had a successful purchase from this company? I have recently been in contact with Liberty regarding a HGV property in Orlando. I receive paperwork to sign but it does not list a week or unit #, and has Las Vegas listed whereas the unit is supposedly in Orlando. Not sure if that's due to Hilton's legal location, but they have an office in Orlando as well according to sunbiz.org. The lady Samantha was also very standoffish regarding the estoppel I had requested as well. It's a good deal so I'm hoping it's legit but not ready to sign without some additional research.

For me -- no estoppel = no deal.

How can you tell it is a good deal when you cannot confirm what it is that they are selling?

I appreciate your response. I did reach out directly to John at Liberty Consultations and he was able to give me some additional details but I am still trying to do my due diligence to confirm the property is legit. I was given a contract number and have reached out to my previous Client Relations Manager at Hilton to see if they can verify the information for me. Supposedly the contract originated in 2004 so it is long enough it should be paid off but I am still not convinced. Also the original listed was for a property in Orlando and when I received the DocuSign the actual listing was for Las Vegas South Boulevard. I do currently own there so I am hoping I can find out more through my contacts at Hilton but I will follow-up and let everyone know how this deal works out.
This would be our first resale purchase but there are a bunch of red-flags popping up and if a deal looks too good to be true then the saying goes....

Take care and have a great day!

So here is an update and some helpful information for anyone else that might be considering a HGV resale purchase. John from Liberty Consultations was able to provide proof of the deed being paid off, and their old contract #, so I am continuing the process for the resale purchase.

However here are some of the additional steps I took to ensure the information was correct.

On the original paperwork I received there was the previous owners information. I went ahead and ran a www.fastpeoplesearch.com on the owners to ascertain their current address and phone number. I don't have plans to contact them, but I wanted to check their current address and that they were real people. The information I secured matched the paperwork that was provided by John so that was helpful.

The original listing stated Orlando, but the actual property was in Las Vegas on the Boulevard. I am chalking up that mistake to the original listing agent as the paperwork I received had a payoff document that originated from Orlando and stated all tax documentation be sent to Orlando although the actual timeshare was for Vegas. John was able to confirm the actual listing and Vegas works better for us due to the lower MF fees as the points remained the same.

I had contact information from our previous purchase but have since documented a few additional numbers in case anyone else might need them.

The phone # for Hilton Title is 877-764-4482. You can request an original owner to contact that number to provide actual title/deed information for their resale.

The phone # for Hilton Loans is 407-613-3149. I spoke to an exceptionally nice lady who informed me the original owners could also call this number to request a pay history which would also prove ownership of their timeshare. She was very helpful with additional information but of course couldn't really verify too much about another contract as I was not listed for that account.

For all resale questions, or to list a resale with Hilton, that direct # is 800-579-6129. I didn't make it as far with that number as they want you to leave a VM and call you back but I would have continued that route had I not secure the other paperwork before proceeding.

Hopefully some of this information is helpful for other members. I will continue to update the process of our purchase of a Hilton resale with John and hope all goes smoothly from here on out.

Thank you to all of the members, and forum questions posted on TUGS, as it really helped me feel more comfortable/informed during this process.

I just wanted to follow-up and confirm that my timeshare resale through Liberty Consultations was a success. Both John Kirk and Cindy Haynes were wonderful to work with and the process was a success.

This was my first resale, and I was extremely nervous about working with people I had never met, but I hope this will help future members if they decide to purchase a resale through Liberty Consultations. I am elated to have received these additional points for such a low cost and highly recommend purchasing a resale.

Thanks again to everyone who left a comment and for all of the positive information this forum provides!

sounds like a ton of extra time and work but hopefully the deal you got was worth it in the end. i'm looking at one with this outfit and though the deal is mouth-watering I don't know if I'll have the patience or trust to work through this process.
