If all I can get is an ICN number for Kauai Beach Villas, how do I find out what the building and unit number are? The seller claims it's only the ICN number on the deed, but I don't think that can be right. He didn't answer my last email when I pushed for the building info. But I don't know who to call to find out.

Why don't you call Kauai Beach Villas and ask them? They're pretty helpful people. The number is 808-245-6777.

Then post the unit number here and ask what other owners think. There are several KBV owners here.

Just curious: What IS the ICN number you're looking at? I checked some of the paperwork I have, and wonder if the unit number can be deciphered from the ICN.

We hold four deeds. The following is true for those four.
The first letter and number(s) is the building and unit number
that is followed by the week number for deeding purposes
that is followed by a suffix as follows
EV - even years only
OD - odd years only
EO- annual (go figure)
I friend recently bought a resale that had a prefix before the building unit number that I am not familiar with. It was recorded more than ten years ago, so there are details that I still need to learn.

The digits don't start with a letter, which is what I was expecting. I'll call the resort later today.

I called, but nobody at KBV can help me. The ICN is 910-47-OD. I figured out it's probably week 47, every odd year. Since there's no building letter, I'm going to let this one go although the price is terrific.

I wonder if the 9 was originally a lowercase G that someone misread? Is it being sold as a 2 bedroom? Unit G10 is a 2 bedroom oceanview unit...

Also, the MF has to be wrong for a 2 bdm. ($898) because my 1 bdm. was $978.03 for 2008...

I don't think I knew that not all of Building G was timeshare. I thought it was only Building H that was privately owned. So that makes those oceanview units even more valuable.

So Jack, any ideas about that 910 ICN number OP has? I was trying to make that 9 into a letter that fit the layout of buildings.
