I'm thinking about buying 160 points from Disney for the Animal Kingdom resort; current price roughly $96/point with incentives. Looking through these websites, I see people selling points at other resorts like Vero Beach for roughly $60/point. Assuming I buy 160 from Disney at AK and 160 from resale at VB; my question is would I own 320 total points to be used anywhere or do they segregate the different resorts.
Thanks

In your example, you would have 160 AKV points that you could use at AKV at the 11 month window, and 160 VB points that you could use at VB at the 11 month window. At the 7 month window, you can combine the points to use 320 points at any resort.

Also, with banking and borrowing, you could have up to 320 AKV points to use at AKV at the 11 month window every other year, or up to 480 points to use at the 11 month window at AKV every 3rd year. Likewise, you could have up to 320 VB points to use at VB at the 11 month window every other year, or up to 480 points to use at VB at the 11 month window every 3rd year.

Also, if buying VB to use points at other resorts, remember that VB has the highest maintenance fees of any DVC resort.

Make sure they have the same UY or you would only be able to combine them by doing a transfer.
