I've been kicking around the idea of adding more SSR points to my DVC membership. I like SSR real well since they added the Grandstand section to the resort and there will soon be the Treehouse Villas, too. I've been consistently renting SSR points at $9.00 to $10.00 a point when I needed more points. I'm thinking I can pick up SSR points resale at around $71.00 a point or maybe even less.

I also am an Annual Passholder so I sometimes pick up a night or two on an AP rate to stay at the Wilderness Lodge in the main lodge or a night or two at a Disney moderate resort. We usually tack these on before or after an exchange into a Marriott Vacation Club in Orlando.

What would you do? Would you continue to rent points for additional nights or use AP discounts? Or take the money out of the bank and pick up a bargain at SSR while the economy is bad?

Has the ROFR point really gone that low? Wow. I can't commit to DVC long-term, but if you *know* you can use them, and have the cash, that's not a bad deal.

Yes. I've heard of some larger SSR packages passing at $69.00 a point. Thus, my dilemma on whether to buy more right now while I can get a deal. :D

If you will use the points year after year this is really a good time to pick up some low priced points esp. at SSR with extra 12 years etc...

good luck

Just remember that, depending on what happens, today's deal might look expensive tomorrow. But, if this is a price you can live with, and can see yourself using 'em, why not?
