For those of you wanting Avios miles, British Airways is offering a 100K bonus if you get their Chase loyalty credit card.

https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ba...-+Brand+-+Exact/sea/7I4PTBQh/British+Air+Card

$95 annual fee
50K miles for sign up and $2K spend in first 3 months
25K additional miles for $10K spend in first year
25K additional miles for $20K spend in first year

That's a lot of spend for most people, but a nice bunch of points if you can do it. When booking BA flight award tickets, you have to pay their notoriously high fuel surcharge and fees which can run well over $1K per ticket. Better value is normally using them for partner (OneWorld Alliance) award flights.

For partner flights they are a great deal.

You just need to make sure those flights are non-stop though.

Avios charge per segment.

It's an awesome deal if you live in a city with a lot of American and Alaska non-stops like Los Angeles.

Off peak to London and Paris are also good.

Orly to NYC 16,000 miles and $200 one way. 16000 and $6 the other.

This surprised me I had 120k of United miles I was planning to use.

I bought part of my truck with the Ba card to reach the minimum spending.
