We are planning to travel to Orlando the week of March 17th (spring break but not Easter week) and are exchanging with II. We have stayed at Marriott's Harbour Lake several times and the kids have really enjoyed the pools and the slide...plus the mini-golf and the ease of walking around this resort. So, since we have decided to take this trip on the late side, and we have a very weak trading unit (one bedroom) I am only seeing studios at Harbour Lakes right now. Kids will be 10 and 14 for this trip (one boy, one girl) so that is not going to cut it. There is a one bedroom at Grande Vista today, but I am afraid that we won't like it as much as Harbour Lakes since there are no pool slides and it is so much larger.

Thoughts? Would you hold off and hope to get a one bedroom...or even a two bedroom...at Harbour Lakes? Would love to try Cypress Harbour but I am not seeing that one at all.

Thanks!

If you make a trade now, you can always cancel it, pay another exchange fee, and make a new trade, if the resort/unit that you want pops up in the online inventory.

Thanks...I had considered that...but we are trying to do this vacation as cheaply as possible so I hate the idea of wasting that $139 or whatever the current fee is!

I see all

Hi, I just did a check with my Marriott week and can see a studio, one and a two bedroom unit for the week 17 to 24 March 2012.

If you are using a one bedroom you should get like for like and it might be worth your while to give II international a call and see if they can see anything.

You might not be able to see it and indeed exchange it if the week is still within the Marriott preferred exchange period. If this is the case you will have to wait and see if it comes available if it is not taken by a Marriott owner in that period.

I guess you can wait within the flexchange period and see what comes available at Harbour Lake as you are more likely to get a two bedroom unit for you one bedroom in the flexchange period. If there is nothing then just book a bigger unit elsewhere that looks good. Unfortunately playing the waiting game will always be a game of chance and uncertainty compared to what you can see here and now.
