Hi, I am back from a 3 week stay in August in the Phuket beach club and we charged everything to the room, I am having to chase to get the points credited to my account and I wanted to check they do it correctly, can anyone tell me roughly how it works, its only on food and drink I understand (Not 3rd party activities like Scuba diving, Spa, kids club activities etc), but all food, drink, alcohol? I am titanium elite so for example if I have spend 3000$ what sort of points should I get?

It should definitely be for the total restaurant / bar bill including all drinks, as well takeaways from the Siam Deli.
I am not certain about the non F&B spend?

Remember it will also be converted to US currency. At least that is my understanding. So it is based on 10x per US$ (plus any additional elite points). It may not include non Marriott operated establishments. I don't know about the specific property, but we have found most US resort Marketplaces are operated by a third party and you don't get points for spend there. Food and beverage tends to be operated by Marriott Vacations and spend there does earn points.

Not sure about Phuket, but I have occasionally traveled to locations where local laws prohibit the loyalty points on "sins" like alcohol sales..

I may be wrong, but I believe what is being asked may not be about the points credited by using a Marriott credit card (which is different for US and International cards) but about points credited by resort spend on the bill irrespective of payment method (as Phuket Beach Club and the associated JW Marriott Front Office which is renowned for not crediting points on checkout?)

Correct, I chased the resort 3 times but no joy, so called Bonvoy myself.

Thanks, I will check on what I spend but for example if I have 1000$ is it x 17,5 = 17500 points I should receive?

That was my understand as well and what my answer was based on. The local currency is converted to US$ for the purpose of awarding Bonvoy points for the incidental spend.

If all the points are missing, then it should just be a missing stay request on Marriott.com.

The Phuket resort has had quite a long term issue with points not being credited.
They are aware of this and taking action now to address the issue.
Whilst they are addressing this they have introduced a process to ensure that points will be credited.

Problem is I emailed those addresses several times and am on very good personal terms with Oy the concierge so she was also chasing, in the end I called Bonvoy and followed up with sending them an email with my bill and now I can finally see them credited to my account!

Well done for your perseverance, although as we know it really should not have been necessary.
