The Marriott I stay at on Long Island, charges 25,000 pts a night, if you pay cash it averages about $250 a night. If you use points to stay 4 nights, the 5th night is free. I recently charged 100,000 points and got five nights worth aprox, $1,250 for me. For me, in this case, if they are charging you less than $1,250 it may be worthwhile. What is the asking price for each bundle of 50,000 points????

Looks like the cost is $12.50 per 1k points minus 30%

$12.50 X 100=$1250 $1250-30%=$875

Looks good only if you have a good use fore these points. Remember Marriott can and will (probably) devalue their points over time. So burn and use is the only logical way.
