I have been contacted by folks wanting to use my available Bonus weeks (RCI) for rental to "conferences". I would receive "rental funds" from the use of those weeks. Typically, my cost to "list the bonus weeks" with them would by around $1500 for listing 3 weeks, for which I would receive compensation, once the bonus weeks were "booked" for their events. (60-to 90 days later). Anyone heard of or used these "services"....??

That is a common scam - the exchange companies strictly prohibit rental of their products and if you get caught, they can close your account and confiscate your exchanges. The cold caller is going to charge you fees and then disappear with your money.

In addition to what Denise said, you are now on the scammer call list, expect more of these types of calls.

Yeah - be sure you cut them off completely and block them on your phone, because any further conversations with mark you as an "easy target."

As stated above, this is a common scam that has been around for 10 years or so. They count on people not looking too closely. There are no bonus weeks. Nobody organizing conferences is going to collect single reservations at various timeshares; they reserve in bulk. It just doesn't make sense. And then, of course, there's that pesky fact that the exchange companies don't allow you to rent anything out. Block their number. They will call back with different numbers, so you need to be persistent to get off their 'suckers' list.

60-90 days. Just outside the time to dispute your CC charge.
