Here right now and the mattress is the worst thing I have ever slept on. Furthermore, the sheets were a very cheap scratchy material.

This is the first time I have ever had a problem with the bedding in a Wyndham resort but this is awful.

I complained about the mattress and a couple of maintenance men came up and stated all of the mattresses were the same so no new mattress.

All I can say is they must have seriously downgraded the quality of mattresses and bedding here

That's news to me. The mattress and bedding were fine when we were there a few years ago. I do remember about 10 years ago not liking their sheets. The quality was awful. However, last time we were there, things were better. To me the mattress, sheets, blanket and pillow type really define the luxury class of a hotel, or timeshare property.

Did you pull back the sheets to see what brand mattress it is? Is the box spring broken? Does the bed frame have a center support for a King bed? If it is missing the middle support - that may be the reason for trouble? We had that issue at a Sheraton with the bed being put together improperly and we could not sleep. The middle of the bed sagged. It was awful!

Anyway, sorry to hear this news. Do you think that you could take a picture or two of the mattress and post it?

I wonder what tower you are in and if you have one of the newly renovated rooms or if you are in a tower that will soon be renovated?

I would ask the manager if you could see a room in a different tower to test out the mattress. See for yourself if they really are all the same?

Thanks for reporting!

Cynthia T. :)

Go over to a different pool and chat up some friendly guests ... I can usually gather ALL types of information and even room visits. Housekeepers can also be helpful ... as many times they prop open the door. Just wander around.

I KNOW several of my regular resorts had to replace a mattress set like NOW ... people leave; housekeeping finds a SERIOUSLY DAMAGE mattress and maintenance has to get a replacement in NOW. One of my fixed deeded weeks had a 3 month old sofa "cut up and filthy" ... resort manager and guy with truck went to a furniture store ... brought back a replacement sofa for the unit .. all before 4PM. I got the TRUE story when I asked directly as the unit owner. Guest got billed on his Credit Card for sofa.

We are in tower 4.

We have stayed here many times in the past with no mattress issues. That's why I was surprised. In fact, I have never had a complaint about the mattress in any Wyndham resort.

I will admit that with the sheets, I am a bit picky about 100% cotton with a good thread count, but these sheets were pathetic

Maybe it's because we are in a deluxe and not presidential.

We've stayed in the Deluxe rooms and in Tower 4 at least 3 times. The last time we stayed in Tower 4 was around 5 years ago it was fine. We actually liked the bedding and thought it was comfortable.

My family has stayed in Towers 4, 5, 6 and 2. The most recent Towers we've stayed in were 5 and 6. No problems with bedding on either of those two trips. We stayed in a 3 bedroom Deluxe, not Presidential.

Things must be different? I believe Tower 4 had a recent renovation. I wonder what mattress they have on the beds these days?

Are these platform beds or do they have a box spring?

Sorry to hear the mattress is uncomfortable. I know that the presidential units have a much better mattress and sheets. Usually the regular rooms are adequate though.

I prefer to say in tower 6, it seems like they have a little better furniture in that tower just my opinion. I stayed in tower 5 a few weeks ago and the beds were fine.

Since I have a foam mattress at home all spring mattress are not that comfortable anymore. what you are acustomed to at home makes a difference when you are traveling.

We just stayed there over thanksgiving week. We had a family reunion down there with 8 rooms. Had a cross section of rooms. Some presidential some deluxe. Some in tower 3,4,5,6. No complaints from any of the family members. The two rooms I personally used (split reservation moving to a larger room) both had great bedding. We stay at Bonnet Creek two to three times a year. And the bedding has always been great.
Even our resident Princess and the pea was happy. Their mattresses are firm which most people like, but perhaps OP likes softer? Not sure what else to deduce.

Us too!! We are here now and in building 5, and I was just saying to my husband about how awful the mattress was! We were here in March, and it wasn't like this! It is hard and I agree the sheets are scratchy, thankfully the pillows are still amazing!

Are the mattress to soft or to hard? The sheets may be new (right out of the box or case and never wash) Sounds like they are new sheets and they need to be wash a couple of times.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and better sleep nights at the resort.

It's a firm mattress, but it's lumpy. Just reminds me of a cheap mattress.

The sheets are Family Dollar Store quality IMO.

As I have stated before this is the first time that I have found Wyndham's bedding less than acceptable, and we have many Wyndham stays each year.
