If you stay at Bonnet Creek Resort, do you get any of the Disney benefits like extra magic hours or disney transportation. If not, what is different with this resort or any off-site resort.

You don't get any Disney benefits because Bonnet Creek is not affiliated in any way with Disney. It is a Wyndham property, and they do provide transportation to the parks, but it is Wyndham's transportation.

Bonnet Creek is right in the middle of Disney, though not technically in Disney. The owners of the land were holdouts when Walt bought the land to build Disney, so he built around them. Now the land is owned by Wyndham. The resorts is very nice, the upper floors of the buildings have incredible views of the fireworks, and you can see some of the other resorts, including Caribbean Beach Club, from up there, too.

The shuttle buses run hourly during the mornings and late afternoons/evenings, about every two hours middays.

It's a very nice resort with lovely rooms and very nice pools. Only a handful of timeshares in the region so far have the combination of pool slide, floating river, zero entry pool and kiddie water spray play area. And at Bonnet Creek, you are literally centrally located between the entertainment and restaurants of Downtown Disney and the BoardWalk - very short drives in either direction. Upper floors have many rooms with fireworks views from the balconies. With these things and the regular, free shuttle to the parks, I don't know of other offsite timeshares that offer all of these things, included with every stay. (Of the DVC resorts, only BCV even has a floating river.) Depending on which amenities your family uses, these things may make for a very nice offsite vacation.

We have found the car easier than the shuttle provided. We had the 4 BR Presidential Penthouse booked one Christmas. We found that we purchased a single parking pass at Disney per day and just made multiple trips to/from resort to parks. Since the parking pass is good for the entire day, in any parking facility, you can use it to come in and out all day. We found with 12 of us, we could never get everyone to be ready at the same time anyway, so we shuttled ourselves in 2 car loads to where ever it was we were going.

Because Bonnet Creek is so close to everything and is only a 5-7 minute drive away.

When we stayed there, we noticed that the shuttle came back before the parks closed. We ended up driving to the parks for that reason. However, a lot of people took the shuttle. We watched them come back from our balcony while we were watching the fireworks on the days we didn't go to the parks. Debby
