October is entirely booked - any ideas? Kids are in school. Food and wine doesn't start until November. Scarry Halloween isn't that popular. Just strange that all of the inventory is gone except a few one night.

Any thoughts?

We're booked there the first week of October for fall college break. Booked it ten months ago.

Food and Wine starts in September, as does Universal's Halloween.

Our college has a fall break in October. I'm staying at Star Island and taking in the two events mentioned above, as well as Diagon Alley.

Also, it isn't so blasted hot in October and the crushing crowds during the summer and spring break are not there, so it is an attractive time to go.

Sometimes there are other events or conferences in town that will book up the resort.

Or, like someone said, renovations.

Well it is only about 45 days or so until the end of October. A little late to expect available inventory at any somewhat popular resort/time, no?

First week in November is called "Jersey Week" ... the public school system is mostly closed that week for Election day and 3 days of the state Teacher's Convention.

HEY, GOV ... tell the teachers to have their convection during Summer break, Easter break or between Xmas and NYE. Closing the schools for almost a week is a poor teaching habit.

Most importantly the Food & Wine is big in October. The Chew is broadcasting live from Epcot.
The 20th Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will run September 25 - November 16, 2015.

I love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween.

Overall one of my favorite months to go

We're there 4 nights starting October 17th.
Booked in July.
Our daughter is not in school yet, figured it would be cooler and fewer crowds.
We're surprised too at how full it seems - no upgrade options showing up.
I believe my wife has told me there are renovations going on as Ty1on has pointed out.

Good to hear about food and wine festival .. we'll have to check that out.

Interesting. The last few years there have been lots of opportunities to book in 30-45 days. Clearly the economy is better, which is good in many ways. Didn't know all that was going on in the first two weeks of October. Thanks
