Just wanted to update this thread. I called Wyndham yesterday and they are now allowing guest reservations. I transferred this to my brother yesterday online and he received the confirmation e-mail.

I made a guest reservation for Pagosa Springs yesterday for August 10 to 17. The wyndham representative said but only if occupancy restrictions really changed there wasn't much chance of the guest reservation being cancelled. So I hope my guest will be able to enjoy getting out of the Texas heat!

Just be aware that, to the best of my understanding, while GCs are now being allowed - owner reservations are still being prioritized over GC reservations. Don't be shocked if the GC reservation is canceled as the start date approaches.

Are all resorts still social distancing? I somewhat understand the reason for social distancing if the resort has halls and elevators, but if the units have outside entrances why social distance?

BC is definitely limiting occupancy and practicing social distancing - it is the pilot resort for all other resorts that require this approach. That said, I cannot speak to all resort practices with respect to social distancing protocols. I would surmise it is partly determined by state specific "state of emergency" protocols and guidelines.
