Has anyone stayed at this new Bluegreen property in Savannah yet? I was really excited to finally get a bonus time weekend at this property after trying unsuccessfully for several months - and I even landed the weekend I really wanted for tall ships. Bonus time is the only way to book it at this point. Points availability starts in July - not sure if this is because the resort is not fully open for business, or whether the bonus time is a test period.

Is it as luxurious as they make it sound? How about location - it looks like it has a great location. We have enjoyed Bluegreen's boutique hotels in Charleston and New Orleans because location has been so great.

I will check with the rest of my party and see what they remember, but I seem to remember it was about $20-$25. There was no valet parking when we were there, but there were two choices. You could park with the garage themselves which was a little cheaper, but you didn't have in and out privileges and you had to hunt for a space during busy times. Or, you could park through Bluegreen which allowed in and out privileges and you had a reserved parking area. We were there during the Tall Ships, so it was pretty busy. Having a reserved space was worth it when the crowds started arriving. You can opt to park some days with Bluegreen and some with the garage - the garage was a having a special for $10 on the weekend we were there. Bluegreen's spaces are also pretty convenient to the elevator.

When we were there the building across the street was under construction (courthouse). The wholes street was shut down in front of Bluegreen. So, we had to bring all of our luggage up through the garage. I would suggest parking the car, then going up without your luggage to find the place. They will come back down with a luggage cart to help you. It is a little tricky to find the first time.

Also, we noted that the units on the front of the building (side where the entrance is) have a view right into the construction. One morning we had a guy in a bucket right outside our window. Hopefully they are pretty much done by now.

We enjoyed it. Great location and very well appointed rooms. Mom thought they were the nicest Bluegreen rooms she had seen.
