Hello,

I would like to buy a bluegreen resale... most of the ones I enquire about ask that I pay transfer fee... I am OK with paying the fee and other cost to help out the seller. However, I was told that if BG exercises the Right of Refusal, I will still need to pay the $500 transfer fee which is none refundable. Of course, I want to make sure that if I attempt to buy a BG TS and it doesn't happen due to ROFR, I will get all my investment money back. I tried calling BG to confirm, but I could never get through. So I would love to get your input. Please advise, and many thanks in advanced!

If you as the buyer pay the transfer fee of $500 and BG exercises ROFR, you get your money back from BG within a week ( credit to cc)

If the seller pays the $500 fee and BG exercises ROFR they do NOT get their money back.

Thank you so much for the input. I was talking to a broker that affirmed that in his process the fee gets charged.. he is doing it through some portal. So, probably is the way he is submitting it. Thanks again for the response

I'm back with another complaint about BG. I know it's our fault for being so gullible with these salesmen, but really...
$450+ per month plus maintenance fees ! I could stay at a VRBO where I really would like to go for so much less than that. I don't know how it got to be so high.
I guess there are folks that are well enough off that this is fine for them.
Our BG bill makes it so that anywhere that is not driving distance, is too expensive to go. Who can afford plane tickets when all the $ goes to frickin' Bluegreen.
Recently I was trying to do an exchange for a place in my state. I ACCIDENTALLY touched on the wrong offer. I cancelled it immediately. Yet, I see a $59 exchange charge in my bank statement. I spoke to them and they will not refund me. I hate them!!!!

Anybody want to buy a bronze membership?! :)

As long as you owe money on it then you are stuck with it.

Pay it down and get it paid off, default (and suffer any possible consequence), rent it out and use that income to cover some of your expenses, or make annual vacation plans and utilize it.

Sorry for the bad news, but most timeshares are worth little or nothing.
