No other Blue Whale owners still TUG members or guests?
I hope that you're all planning on voting NO on the change to the CC&Rs that the BOD wants..
The current wording in the CC&Rs regarding the termination of the timeshare is just perfect, as far as I'm concerned. It terminates in 2014 and then we have the opportunity to vote - for termination and sale of the property or extending it for another ten years. What's the problem with that?
By voting yes on their new proposal, you're giving them the authority to terminate the current buildings and build a new building. The bright idea they had 9 years ago was a new building for $5 million, made out of prefab units. The whole idea and the language is flawed. I will not vote for it. I want to be able to vote on terminating the timeshare in 2014; and I want the option to terminate it at any time if there are any major maintenance problems with the building. I refuse to spend one penny over our yearly maintenance fees on the Blue Whale.
There are too many distressed timeshare weeks for sale. To ask the owners to pay up to build a new timeshare in the current economy is a joke. I prefer to get my share of the sale of the land, and then do what I want as far as a replacement timeshare (or just get out of timesharing and keep the cash).
Any thoughts from our other owners? Agree or disagree?
