I am thinking about taking the bus to Punta de Mita to have a belated birthday lunch at Blue Shrimp. It has been 7.5 years since I had a timeshare exchange into Rancho Banderas, and my memory might be fading.

I want to take the bus (either from Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta (NV) or from the Grand Luxxe in NV to the Blue Shrimp at Punta de Mita (PdM). Can I catch the ATM PdM bus at all bus stops on the main highway in NV? How close is the restaurant and where do I disembark from the bus in PdM? Is there a flea market near Blue Shrimp in PdM? Approximately how frequently does the Punta de Mita bus run?

I am also thinking about going to Blue Shrimp in NV. Any advise? I am real fond of tequila shrimp and Portugeese Shrimp (shrimp & cheese wrapped in bacon then grilled). Any recommendations for a less expensive restaurant in PV or NV which prepares these dishes?

Any recommendations for Bucerias restaurants which prepared .

2 years ago we took the bus to Sayulita from the Puero Vallarta Walmart . I am pretty sure there is a similar bus to Punta de Mita .

The Sayulita bus did make a number of stops on Mx 200 / PV -Tepic Hwy going into and through Bucerias .
One was across from the sign for Royal Decameron .( not sure where else it stopped )

Hope this helps

The bus to Punta de Mita is one of the older buses and will have Punta Mita written on the window. You can probably catch it in front of the Chenadri, Walmart or Mega (Soriana now) on the main highway to Bucerias. It stops at the end of the road near the Four Seasons entrance and you walk towards the beach. These run regularly, I am not sure how often. I have not noticed a flea market.

Miguel Angel in Bucerias used to do the cheese filled shrimp wrapped in bacon. That was when he had the Capri on the beach years ago. (It was the one with the huge palapa.) Last time we were in Bucerias his place was on the square. There is a huge flea market in Bucerias just off the town square.
