you mean Grand Bliss.....

There is no Bliss...it is the Grand Bliss which is a level between the GM and the Grand Luxxe. It is newer with a very luxurious interior. As an owner you would have more benefits than the GM. You can access all areas of the resort except the Grand Luxxe. In the GM you could not access GB or GL areas, ex pools, etc.
The Bliss was marketed for a time and it was a level between the Mayan Palace and GM, but is no longer being sold. No units were built either.
Either way you will have a great time......enjoy!

Cedars, it depends on when you are going to NV. Right now, the Grand Bliss doesn't have it's own pools, so you would use the GM or MP pools if staying at the GB. In the future, GB will have its own pools where the models were by the beach. At that time, it would be a real advantage to pick the GB over the GM for the reasons that Tropical Lady stated.

Thank you both for the replies-we are looking at Nov. 2012-do you think the Grand Blilss will have their own pools by then??? We are not owners and would be exchanging. Thank you.

I feel fairly confident that the GB pool would be in by then.....more than a year away! They are able to complete areas quickly.
Right now the GB is only at Nuevo but should be added to Riviera Maya in the near future since they are getting GL up and occupied. The GL pool area went in very fast.
Again enjoy........

WE will be in NV in January, 2012, so I will report on the work done up to that point throughout the complex.
The last pics I saw showed the demolition of the models near the beach, so work on the pools should be underway.
We recently traded for Grand Luxxe in NV for next August, so we should be able to give you a report more up to date if others haven't reported by then.

We will be staying at the Grand Mayan NV the last week of our January vacation. We've been to GM in Playa del Carmen (loved the pool!) but that was about 5 years ago so we are totally ignorant about the Bliss. I guess I assumed when trading into the Grand Mayan in NV we'd be getting access to more wonderful pools and even the Lazy River. We really enjoy our pools. Can someone tell me if we can use the Lazy River?

Yes, if you are staying at the Grand Mayan (or even the Grand Bliss or Grand Luxxe) you will have full access to the GM pool complex, waterslide, the wave pools and the lazy river. It's a beautiful pool complex.
