We would love to bike from an Orlando resort without getting out on the roads with traffic. Can you recommend any resorts that have biking trails nearby in the Orlando area? Thanks so much.

Bicycling is fun between Disney's OKW, SSR, and Treehouse Villas resorts. These are now exchanged via II. It used to be fun between WL and Fort Wilderness Campground (and then throughout the huge campground) but the path between those 2 resorts has been shut down for some time with no re-opening expected. The Holiday Inn Vacation Club Orange Lake resorts are very spread out so bicycling within the resort is doable. I don't know of any good, long biking trails that go past or through area timeshares.

The closest bike trails that we've tried are near Tampa. We've enjoyed parts of the Suncoast Trail and the awesome Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail. If you love bicycling, that one is worth the hour+ drive out there to ride over the Tampa Bay. Beautiful! Closer to Orlando, FloridaHikes.com shows the 29-mile Van Fleet Trail (southwest of WDW) and the 20-mile West Orange Trail (north of WDW) but they seem pretty far from any area timeshare resorts. HTH.
