Any tips for places to rent bikes close to Grande Ocean?

at Grande Ocean....

they have hundreds, all very new, and fees are reasonable. very easy if you're already there......and they are liberal and flexible with usage ....

The last time that we were at Grande Ocean, they would not allow an outside bike rental company to deliver the bikes on-site @ GO. Our options were to rent from Marriott or literally go off-property for bike rental pick-up/drop-off.

We've been very pleased with the weekly bike rentals on-site at all the HHI Marriotts...they've got tag-along, and ones with child bike seats, etc. They are also great if one of the bikes develop a problem.

The weekly rentals there are waaaaay cheaper than a daily rental in Bar Harbor, ME, that's for sure!

What are the weekly rental prices at Grande Ocean? The local businesses seem to hover around the $30 mark.

We just got back from Grande Ocean and Barony Beach. The price at Barony Beach was $25 for the week and Grande Ocean was $30 a week. I thought that was strange that they were different. Last year we rented 2 bikes from Yankee Pedaler for $17 each ($38 total after tax and tip) for a week and they delivered them to a bike rack in the parking lot across the street from Grande Ocean. We met the guy there. When the week was over we just left the bikes there. This was in February of last year so they might not offer this price in the summer.

As a Marriott owner you get one free bike rental I believe so that makes there pricing very comparable. You also get the points if you charge to the room so that is another advantage for some to rent direct from Marriott.

Well that's me sold then, thanks.

I don't remember getting "one free bike rental" as an owner at either SurfWatch or Barony. Is this just at Grande Ocean?
