Hey everyone, my husband was recently diagnosed with early onset dementia which is unfortunately going to be drastically changing our amount of travel. This is the first round of ones I will be giving away, and will be giving away more next use year after we say one last “goodbye” to some of these timeshares.

So they are all free and unless otherwise noted, use and MF will start next year, 2022. You pay any transfer costs necessary, including but not limited to: closing company fee (you pick the company or we can just record a deed, your choice), the county recording fee, transfer fee in the timeshare system if applicable, etc. if interested in any or if you have questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for checking These out.

1) Par5 (formerly Fox Hills) Resort, Mishicot, WI
both generate cheap TPU I usually get 12-15 each
one annual studio - dues $200
one odd studio - dues $99
would prefer someone take both but can split

2) Shell Hawaii 3500 points
starts October 1, 2021 - considered 2022 use year
requires 2022 dues to be paid in full upon transfer, (learned from previous purchase) after that you can pay monthly for subsequent years. Dues are about $1200/yr.

3) Harborside at Atlantis 2 bed week 8 phase I. Or 148,100 staroptions. MF $3000, transfer fee is around $2500, has To be done by a Bahama lawyer. Same MF as WKORV, with low entry cost, decent rental opportunity.

4) Hyatt week 23 1 bed odd Piñon pointe, 1240 points. Unit 111. MF about $1200.
SPOKEN FOR

5) HGVC Bay Club even 1 bed, can join HGVC for 4800 points, first use 2024 since I already used some points. Will require signed contract for $1 to add language for transfer for 2024 as first use, I can prepare. $1300 MF on use year only.

6) Marriott Legends edge platinum 2 bed, MF $1700, Florida Club, allowing 1 bed and studio l/o within FL club. It’s great for maximizing Marriott to Marriott II trades. SPOKEN FOR

Thanks - yes, it's definitely a shocker and I am still in disbelief but unfortunately all the warning signs I was seeing were officially confirmed, and it really sucks right now.

So sorry about your husband's condition. You might want to see if he can qualify for LTC long term care insurance.

That's so tough to face. I hope you have the resources and support system that you'll both need going forward. And how generous this it, too, in light of all this.

Sorry to hear this. If it comes to an assisted facility in the Chicago area a co-worker's mother was at Sunrise of Barrington and she had only good things to say of the care there.

You have my sympathy, I have been dealing with this for years. What they don’t tell you is you need others, so start learning every thing you can. Also look into the new drug, which attacks the plaques amyloids in the brain. It is only for early stages. I take advantage of three or four online seminars and groups a week. They are close to a cure so keep the faith.

Once diagnosed, it is too late as he is now uninsurable. Unless he already has a policy.
Right. A diagnosed person can’t answer the questions that they will ask. You can’t cover it up.

I just want to say I still take my husband to two timeshares a year. They are familiar places, he does okay. I try to keep him active and as stimulated as I can. My husband is probably fifth stage out of seven.

My heart goes out to all of you that are dealing with this and caring for your loved ones. They are so very lucky to have loving caregivers such as yourselves. The angels are singing your praises.

I'm so very sorry regarding your loved ones with dementia. It can be so challenging as a caregiver and I'm sure it's very frustrating for the patient.
Best wishes as you navigate this new reality.

I'm so sorry about your husband's diagnosis. My dad suffered from it for many years, and it was terrible. I hope you will be surrounded by love and support from your family, friends, and caregivers.

That is good to know. He just got very confused this last vacay. We are going to our fixed week fixed unit next week so we will see if that’s any better.

I am so so sorry. I do hope you can enjoy the remaining timeshares you do have together. I’ll start asking around to see who wants what

Can’t edit anymore - but Harborside no longer available.

hgvc, par 5, and Shell still available
