I am looking at a contract for EOY, odd year. If I could not use the points that came from 2007/2008 is there any way to bank them to 2009 after I got a new allocation? I believe with annual points you have 3 years to use the points but I wasn't sure about eoy points. thanks in advance.

There is no way the point is come from 2007 and still live. The life is only 1 year.
If it is odd year, the point is come from 2009, and will end at Dec 2009.
You have 2 choices
1. put them in credit pool, since looks like this will be your first purchase, I will guess you are not VIP, and thus you have to put them before their use year starts, which is Jan 2009. Once put, it have live 3 years from the day you put in. So if they put at Oct 2008, you can use it for trip Oct 2008 to Oct 2011.
2. Deposit them to an external exchange company. There are many choices, most will need you to make a real reservation and deposit to them, some do have restrictions on what they will take or not. RCI/II the one that FF established for you do allow you to deposit a non-existing week based on how many points you are willing to used.
If you purchase EOY Odd year, there could have the following situations
1. Owner has pool his/her points before and willing to transfer the point to you, so you could have some points in credit pool that come from 2007 or 2005. And depends on when it was deposited, it could be expired before you got them (2005), or have around 1 year or 1year+ to use.
2. Owner has deposit to RCI /II or other exchange company and willing to transfer these weeks to you. It has 2 years life if it is RCI deposit from the month deposit made. So owner could make deposit on 2006 (from credit pool, or from 2007 point), 2007, 2008 (from credit pool or 2009 point, this usually rare, since most owner will sell you contract start with 2009). 2006 deposit will expired before it get to you unless someone willing to pay RCI extension fee. 2007 deposit may have few months to 1 year life.
You will need to talk to owner. Usually, it will take more time and add some complexity if point is in RCI or credit pool. Generally, on resale, you should get points from whatever you pay MF. If you think it is very unfair to pay the MF, talk to seller so you don't get any points on the year you purchase.
