Just returned from a week-end get away at the Joule Hotel in Dallas. We had booked a regular Deluxe King room using starpoints to celebrate our anniversary. After checking in, (our original room on 17th floor not ready at that time, given same room on 8th floor). Very nice room. Lots of frosted glass, but no tub. :confused: I stated nicely, that I wasn't aware of not having a tub and that I would have rather been higher up (to our ambassador that escorts you to your room). She also said there should have been a couple special items, since they knew we were celebrating an anniv., so she would check on a couple things and call us back. After almost unpacking, she called back and said that since:

a. Our original room was not ready at check-in
b. no special treats in the room
c. we were celebrating our 24th anniversary AND
d. WE WERE STARWOOD GOLD MEMBERS :eek:

she was going to upgrade us to a CORNER LOFT SUITE. Ambassador and Bellhop came back up to the room and they escorted us to the 18th floor.

All I can say is WOW!!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: What a treat. We were treated like royalty the whole time there. They even brought us a bottle of Champagne and chocolates. Truly a wonderful Luxury Starwood experience.
